Hey, I'm Muhammad, a software engineer finishing my degree at the University of Calgary. I love where software development meets the hobbies that give me creative freedom.

I recently interned at SeisWare, where I built a cross-process shared memory cache in C++ that cut memory overhead by 87% across an eight-application suite. I also optimized a graphics shader, cutting render times by 28%.

Above depict Reshiram and Zekrom, the legendary dragons from Pokémon Black & White. I grew up playing the game, and I wanted to make an adventure similar to it myself. That got me into computer science in elementary, where I made my first game with Scratch. In high school, I moved to JavaScript and made browser games and a music discovery app. University is where I started exploring engines like Godot and Unity, and looking under the hood is where my interest in graphics programming piqued.

A few interactive models of algorithms I've learned in my journey are illustrated below.
